Endress+Hauser Process Solutions AG
maintains an excellent, well-equipped Fieldbus Test and Competence
Center "System World" located in Reinach, Switzerland.
It supports the open standards HART®,
PROFIBUS®, FOUNDATION fieldbus™
as well as FDT and thoroughly tests field devices in a multi-vendor environment.
About 15 engineers and
technicians provide the know-how required for
reliable fieldbus operation and deliver innovative ideas and
solutions. Their task is to perform system
integration, interoperability tests for
process automation, as well as fieldbus
and product training.
Prior to releasing any device or system, it must pass a series of
individual system tests. To this end, the
System World is equipped with
process control systems, PLCs and Asset
Management Systems from various
manufacturers.
The
System World is accredited by the
PROFIBUS® International as a PROFIBUS®
International Competence
Center and by the FDT Group as an
official DTM Test Center. The DTM
certification process ensures that DTMs
are conform to the current FDT
specifications.
It is also a major focus of the
System World to test Endress+Hauser
FOUNDATION fieldbus™ system components
and devices.
